Terms of Use

Effective and last updated: June 25, 2026

Important

SVAULT is a self-directed, browser-based credential vault. You control the database secret, signing keys, selected network and approval of transactions. Badje does not act as a custodian, cannot recover lost secrets and cannot reverse a transaction accepted by a Stellar network.

1. Acceptance and operator

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the SVAULT informational website at svault.ir and the SVAULT web application at app.svault.ir (together, the “Service”). SVAULT is created and operated by Badje.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use SVAULT for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

You are responsible for determining whether use of encrypted credential storage, blockchain networks, cryptographic keys and related software is lawful in your location.

3. The Service

SVAULT provides tools to select a Stellar environment, open and reconstruct an encrypted record chain, create or edit credential-style records, estimate ledger effects, review operations, approve signing and display transaction results.

SVAULT is software—not a bank, wallet custodian, fiduciary, escrow service, investment adviser, password-recovery service or guarantee of data availability. Badje does not take custody of your database secret or promise to recover encrypted records.

Features may be experimental, incomplete or changed as development continues. You should evaluate the Service and maintain independent backups before relying on it for important information.

4. Limited license

Subject to these Terms, Badje grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Service for lawful purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of the Service, source code, brand, designs, documentation or other intellectual property.

5. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • protecting your database secret, account secret keys, device, browser profile, backups and recovery material;
  • confirming that you selected the intended Stellar network and account;
  • reviewing fee estimates, reserve changes, operation count, record delta and transaction details before approval;
  • maintaining independent, secure and tested backups;
  • ensuring that records and secrets you store are lawful and that you have authority to process them;
  • keeping your device, browser and extensions secure and up to date.

Badje cannot reset or recover a lost database secret. Loss or compromise of a secret or signing key may cause permanent loss of access or unauthorized transactions.

6. Stellar transactions, fees and permanence

SVAULT can interact with Stellar testnet, the public Stellar network or a custom network. Network transactions may require fees, minimum balances or reserves. Estimates can change before submission, and the final network result may differ because of network state, endpoint behavior, timing or configuration.

Once a transaction is submitted and accepted, it may be irreversible. Badje cannot cancel, modify, refund or delete an accepted transaction. Public-network transactions and metadata may be visible to anyone and retained indefinitely.

Custom networks and endpoints are controlled by their operators. You use them at your own risk, and Badje is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, privacy, fees or actions.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use the Service to:

  • violate law, regulation, sanctions, court orders or third-party rights;
  • store, transmit or manage credentials or data you are not authorized to possess;
  • facilitate fraud, theft, unauthorized access, malware, phishing, harassment or abuse;
  • probe, attack, overload, bypass or interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
  • reverse engineer or extract protected components except where mandatory law permits it;
  • misrepresent affiliation with Badje, SVAULT or the Stellar Development Foundation;
  • use the Service in a way that could expose Badje or others to legal or security risk.

8. Third-party services

The Service may depend on or link to hosting providers, email providers, Stellar nodes, Horizon/RPC endpoints, explorers, browsers, operating systems and other third-party technology. Third parties are not controlled by Badje and may change, fail, log information or impose separate terms.

Links do not constitute endorsement. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and privacy notices.

9. Availability, updates and changes

Badje may modify, suspend, limit or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including to address security, technical, legal or operational concerns. Badje does not guarantee continuous availability, compatibility with every device, or preservation of any particular feature or network integration.

You are responsible for installing updates, exporting information where supported and maintaining backups before updates or service changes.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

SVAULT, Badje, the product design, documentation, logos and related materials are owned by Badje or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Stellar names and marks belong to their respective owners; SVAULT is not a product of the Stellar Development Foundation.

If you provide suggestions, bug reports or feedback, you grant Badje permission to use them without restriction or compensation, while Badje will handle personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Donations, investment and partnerships

Voluntary donations or project-support payments do not purchase equity, tokens, ownership, guaranteed features, service levels or financial returns unless a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise. Donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Investment, pilot and partnership discussions are non-binding until the parties sign a separate written agreement.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Badje disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, security, data recovery and compatibility.

Badje does not warrant that encryption, a browser environment, a custom network or a public blockchain will prevent every form of loss, disclosure, attack, correlation or unauthorized access. You should obtain independent security, legal and operational advice for high-risk or regulated use.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Badje and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages; loss of credentials, records, secrets, keys, funds, profits, reputation or business; blockchain fees or reserves; unauthorized access; or inability to use the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Badje's total aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to Badje for use of SVAULT during the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100, unless mandatory law requires a different amount.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Badje and its contributors from claims, losses and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful use, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or mishandling of credentials, secrets, keys or regulated information.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Badje may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, address security risk or discontinue the Service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including responsibility for keys, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and dispute provisions—will continue to apply.

16. Changes to these Terms

Badje may update these Terms as the product, architecture or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

17. Disputes and applicable law

These Terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer or data-protection law. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact Badje and attempt in good faith to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.

Unless a separate written agreement selects a governing law and forum, any dispute will be governed by the mandatory laws and heard by the courts that have lawful jurisdiction based on the parties, location and nature of the dispute.

18. General terms

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Badje's consent; Badje may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing or transfer of the project.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement between you and Badje are the entire agreement concerning the Service.
